Q: How do I change the owner of a class?
A: As an Administrator, you can change the owner of a class either via import or under the Classes tab in Domain Control.
Update by Import
If you are importing your classes, you can change the class owner by updating the teacher_id in the classes.csv file (if using a Full Import) or in the update_classes.csv file (if using a Partial Import). You can see the specifications for these import files under Manage Domain (the gear icon) > Imports > New Import.
Update in Domain Control
If you are updating a manually-created class that is not tied to an import, you can make the change in Domain Control, under the Classes tab.
Start by searching for the Class you would like to update.
Click on the name of the Class to view the Class Info. You will see an option to Change Class Owner.
Click on this option and you will be able to search and select the new teacher.
Select the teacher's name and, in the next screen, click Continue to apply the change.
Note: you will see a warning that changing the owner of the class will update the class URL. If this link is posted on other sites or bookmarked, be sure to make those changes in all the appropriate places.
