Version 5.7.0: Google Docs Integration & Annotator Enhancements (08 Apr 2011)

Follow

Released April 8th, 2011

New

  • Google Docs Integration:  Bring Google Docs into Haiku where you might otherwise upload a file. Import Google Docs as attachments or as collaborative documents. What’s more, upload Microsoft Office files and convert them to Google Docs within Haiku.
  • Enhanced Annotator:  It’s faster and better than ever! Easily scroll and zoom. To annotate, just swipe and type. Rotate and position elements to your heart’s delight. Teachers will love the improved interface, the quick annotation tool, and - for Apple users - the compatibility with iWork files (with preview). Students will love that they don’t have to download a file to see what a teacher said.

Changes

  • Schools can now use AD/LDAP integration with manually created users (instead of just imported users).
  • Parents and Students can now sign up for inactive classes if invited or provisioned through the Course Catalog.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with copying YouTube blocks in WikiProjects
  • An issue updating SCORM progress on first attempts is resolved
  • Various minor fixes.
