Q: How do I review documents my students have submitted to PowerSchool Learning via OneDrive?
A: If a Student hands in work using the Attach from OneDrive option, Teachers can easily open the document in OneDrive, the Assignment Annotator, or download it.
Please Note: This feature is only available for School Edition Domain users using the Office 365 integration.
When a Student submits an Assignment by Attaching from OneDrive, Teachers will see the file in the Assignment with the OneDrive Symbol. Teachers will have Edit access to the file in OneDrive.
Clicking on the file name will open the file in OneDrive, or you can find the option to open in OneDrive, with the Annotator, or to Download via the Open In menu as well.
Opening the document in OneDrive allows you to edit the Student's document directly within OneDrive.
Quick tip: You may want to consider using the Comments option in OneDrive for adding edits/comments, or making notes in a different font color so Students can easily differentiate between your text and theirs!
If you open the file in OneDrive, please note that it is the Student's live document--the Student is still able to make changes and edits after submitting.
Download a PDF version
If you'd like to see the document as it was when it was handed-in, use the Open In > Download option. This will let you download a PDF snapshot of the document when submitted and is helpful if you like to use a third party application to make your annotations, like Notability.
Annotate directly within PowerSchool Learning
If you'd like to continue making your annotations in the Assignment Annotator (powered by Moxtra) you can definitely do so! Just use the Open In menu to select the Annotator option, and you can review and hand back files using the Assignment Annotator.
